Deleting your account permanently removes your profile from Date Nottinghamshire Singles. This guide explains how to delete your account whether you're using our website or the mobile app.
Before You Delete Your Account
Deleting your account is permanent and cannot be undone.
Once your account has been deleted:
- Your profile will no longer be visible to other members.
- Your messages, matches, likes and other account data will be permanently removed where appropriate.
- You will no longer be able to sign in using your existing account.
- Any active subscriptions must be cancelled separately to prevent future billing.
Please note that deleting the app from your device does not delete your Date Nottinghamshire Singles account.
Delete Your Account on the Website
- Sign in to your Date Nottinghamshire Singles account.
- Click your Profile Avatar.
- Select Settings.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Follow the on-screen confirmation steps.
Your account will then be scheduled for permanent deletion.
Delete Your Account in the Mobile App
- Open the Date Nottinghamshire Singles app.
- Tap Profile.
- Open Settings.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Confirm that you wish to permanently delete your account.
Once confirmed, your deletion request will begin immediately.
Cancelling Your Subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel recurring subscriptions.
If you subscribed through:
- Apple App Store: Please cancel your subscription within your Apple ID subscription settings before deleting your account.
- Google Play: Please cancel your subscription through the Google Play Store subscription settings.
- Credit Card (Stripe): If you subscribed directly through our website using a credit or debit card, please cancel your subscription within your Account Settings before deleting your account.
- PayPal: If you subscribed using PayPal, you should also cancel the recurring payment within your PayPal account.
Cancelling your subscription prevents future renewal charges.
Data Retention
We permanently delete or anonymise your personal information wherever possible following account deletion.
Certain limited information may be retained where required to:
- comply with legal obligations;
- investigate fraud or abuse;
- enforce our Terms of Service;
- protect the safety and security of our members.
Any retained information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
